the teacher
I am Christian, the founder of aleman sin licencia – German without licence. I am a native German speaker. I grew up and studied in Germany, then lived in Spain for four years. I now live in South America.
My experience
I have more than 2000 hours of experience teaching German to people around the world covering all continents (not counting Antarctica 😉). I have delivered intensive courses totalling 690 hours for beginner levels (A1 and A2) as well as for an advanced level (C1). These courses were organised by the Spanish Employment Office (SEPE) and all concluded with the Goethe exam. I have led groups of professionals from different sectors — nursing, railways, physiotherapy, early childhood education, and more — from scratch to B2 level. I have successfully prepared all these groups for the Telc, Goethe and ÖSD exams, after which they were able to start working in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. I also teach all levels (A1–C2) to professionals at some of Germany’s biggestinternational well-known companies. An academy hired me to run an intensive course for a group that had failed the Telc B2 exam — with my help, they successfully improved their results. I have given lectures on B2 curriculum topics. I also have private students whom I have helped to pass job interviews, start working in Switzerland, Austria and Germany, pass their Telc exams and get familiar with the vocabulary of their field.
The idea behind the video courses and this website
Since I am very much a self-taught learner myself, and I am convinced that one of my strengths is giving clear explanations, I created this website with video courses to give more students the opportunity to learn German at their own pace, with clear explanations, at an affordable price.
Why the name aleman sin licencia – German without licence?
I chose the name aleman sin licencia – German without licence because I do not hold a degree in Education. I do not consider this a reliable indicator of a teacher’s quality. My clients are my certificate. I want to stand out through my classes, courses and explanations — not live off a piece of paper that simply confirms I attended some lectures.

I already mentioned my experience and the affordable pricing. You can try some course modules for free to decide whether you like my style or not — I don’t want to sell you something you don’t like. On top of that, you get everything in one place. I am the creator, the teacher, the technical administrator, the graphic designer, the salesperson, the marketing person and the customer support. If you have any problem or question, you have direct contact with me. It won’t be a nightmare like with big companies, where nobody knows anything, nobody is responsible for anything, and you’re basically lost if you have to contact customer support. I won’t send you automated messages either. Whether you reach me on WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, email or anywhere else, you’re talking directly to me — human to human. You don’t pay a commission like you would at a language school or large company. You pay only me, the teacher and creator. And you won’t be assigned a random teacher — I will always be your teacher when you book a class.
